About the band
History and Future

Watershed Background The band has been playing together as Watershed since January 1998. The band was formed by three members (Jon Kendall/Phill Kendall and Phil Bradbury of former band Spiritual Warriors.) Scott Kendall then joined, initally as a Bass player, then later sharing lead and rhythm guitar. The members of the band all grew up in Harlow, Essex and have known each other on and off for over 20 years.
The band originally started out in 1991, playing a mixture of Guns & Roses, Extreme and Bon Jovi covers. However, the band soon started to write a prolific number of there own songs. The style of the band and the music became a complete mix of these styles, plus many other artists. The first few gigs at local venues were very raw and unpolished, but had a certain something. The hard hitting Rock with a Gospel message certainly raised a few eyebrows. The years since have matured the music and the lyrics, but the underlying message remains the same.

What The Band Believes

The band's songwriting is driven by their faith in Jesus Christ and their belief in the need for a contemporary voice to build up, encourage and challenge people to consider their own faith. Songs are written from personal experiences and are always very honest and from the heart.

Where the band is going

The band has its sights set directly on the secular/mainstream music industry and is looking to follow in the footsteps of groups such as Delirious and Sixpence None The Richer. However, the band also has a lot to offer the Christian market and is looking to make an impact on both.
